Cooking plates

These resistors heat by Joule effect when a current flows through them. Depending on the intensity of this electric current, the resistors transmit more or less heat to the cast iron cooking plate which, in turn, makes it possible to cook food. A switch with typically seven graduated positions allows for different heating levels. An indicator light coupled with the cooking plate lets you know whether it is on or off. The operating temperature range is between 50°C and 300°C. The number of hotplates can vary from one to six. While cast iron electric cooking plates have the advantage of being durable and inexpensive, they have the disadvantage of a relatively long heating and cooling time.
